Since 2003, Charles L. Wilson has been providing advisory services to small and medium sized enterprises seeking to maximize the full potential of their real estate investments.  Currently, Charles is employed as a Senior Consultant with Altus Group, an advisory services provider, with primary emphasis in the areas of valuation and valuation management for portfolio asset management, investment analysis, acquisitions and dispositions of institutional grade real estate assets including industrial, multifamily, office, and retail property types. Charles also has over fourteen years of prior experience as a Deputy Assessor in Los Angeles County, California; eleven of which was with the Major Real Property Division with his tenure split between the Special Commercial and Possessory Interest Sections.

Charles’ advisory and valuation experience spans a wide variety of small, large and complex projects including intricate and highly valued commercial properties up to $200+ million in value.  He is well versed in the analysis and valuation of hotels, shopping centers, and residential mixed use developments; with additional experience in industrial, land, office, and residential property types.

Charles is a MAI designated member of the Appraisal Institute, certified general real estate appraiser, real estate broker, advanced certified property tax appraiser and certified green building professional. He holds membership with the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Southern California Association of Non Profit Housing, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association, and the Orange County Association of Realtors.

Charles has a multifaceted background spanning professional and entrepreneurial experience in the real estate, digital media, themed entertainment, music and aerospace industries.  He has a Master of Business Administration degree from California State University Long Beach where his studies emphasized the sustainability of business organizations. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University Long Beach. Additionally, he has extensive professional studies in real estate valuation, finance and investment analysis through his Certificate in Business Studies from the University of California Los Angeles, and his designation with the Appraisal Institute.
